The derivative exchange, HedgeStreet, was originally located in San Mateo, California. HedgeStreet was taken over by UK-based IG Group Holdings plc, a leading global financial services provider and shifted to Chicago. The exchange was renamed the North American Derivatives Exchange (Nadex). It is registered with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC). The online futures exchange, Nadex, offers small investors an electronic marketplace to trade small, inexpensive, capped risk derivative contracts including binary options.
